Sustainability Quality Authenticity

Consciousness is growing among younger generations, and many want to make better choices. Yet sustainable fashion is still often perceived as limited or lacking style. For a generation that values self-expression, that can feel restrictive. At LARS, we take on the challenge of creating sustainable pieces that can replace your wardrobe staples—timeless, versatile, and designed to move with you beyond seasons. Our commitments guide every step of our production process, from certified materials to final creation.

Respecting our planet
The fashion industry accounts for nearly 20% of global water pollution and around 10% of CO₂ emissions. Behind every garment is a resource-intensive chain that often damages ecosystems through toxic dyes, excessive water use, and overproduction. At LARS, we produce responsibly, minimize environmental impact, and design garments made to last—not to be replaced.

Working in ethical conditions
A €3 T-shirt is never truly cheap. If brands still profit at that price, someone else is paying the cost—often garment workers in developing countries. Many, mostly women, endure extremely low wages, long hours, unsafe conditions, and little protection. Tragedies have exposed how fragile these systems are, yet they persist to maintain low prices. Choosing differently means refusing a system that prioritizes profit over people.

Preserving local production
Our family-run atelier uses mechanical machines from the 1960s, preserving rare craftsmanship and traditional techniques. By choosing LARS, you support French artisanal production and help protect valuable generational knowledge. Each piece is made with care and precision.

Protecting your health
Fast fashion garments are often treated with synthetic dyes, formaldehyde finishes, and other chemicals that may cause skin irritation or raise concerns about long-term exposure, including potential hormonal disruption. At LARS, we carefully select materials and limit unnecessary chemical treatments. What touches your skin should be as considered as what you put into your body.

Choosing consciously
Choosing LARS means choosing responsibility over convenience, quality over quantity, and values over shortcuts. If you believe in better choices—for the planet, for humanity, and for yourself—welcome to LARS.

Ethics are our priority

Certified Materials

The fabric of our clothes is knitted in France out of  threads imported from Italy, from the Italian company FILMAR. They produce in alignment with the core values of LARS and provide a very complete traceability of their materials. The cotton of the threads is cultivated in several countries, but mainly in Egypt because of their superior quality. Egyptian cotton is often considered the best in the world because of its strong fibers and delicacy. FILMAR offer certified threads in different labels depending on the thickness of the thread. Amongst the labels that are offer in the different counts, we find the certification OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Biofil, GOTS and BCI. Our first collection is holds five certifications among which we wind  OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Naturally we aim to enlarge our collection with garments certified with ulterior labels.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 guaranties the absence of toxic residues in the garments. The threads have been tested and approved, so that you as a costumer can feel safe using our clothes, knowing you aren't exposing yourself to harmful chemicals.
